Introduction to Scaravelli Workshops – 22nd June/July 2013- Cardiff Yoga Studio

Using a combination of yoga and experiential anatomy Johanna provides the space to work deeper with the body, after two fantastic ‘Introduction to Scaravelli Workshops’ in February and March, Johanna is pleased to announce that she will be facilitating three more workshops over the next few months to complete the introduction series. We will look at three different areas of the body (feet, hips and shoulders) in more detail and explore how the Scaravelli Inspired approach works to open and release deeply held tension.

Workshops are open to all levels and abilities and can be booked at a drop-in rate of £15 per session.

Feedback from previous yoga workshops and yoga retreats…

“I am new to scaravelli and from what I’ve been introduced to from Jo I am definitely keen to know more and develop this practice. During Jo’s workshop we took time to explore our weight and how to more effectively transfer into poses. Learning about grounding in this way was so pleasurable, giving us time to both understand where our restrictions/tensions lie and how to let go of them. The focus on breath and grounding throughout opened up a whole new way of thinking about my body and how to let go of interfering with it, giving it a chance to do its job freely. This made the poses easier and my movement more enjoyable. Walking home felt amazing! I felt rejuvenated and clearer, using far less effort to walk and simply letting my weight fall into and connect with the earth. Since, I have been applying the principles that Jo shared and am even finding a freedom and pleasure in everyday activities. I highly recommend attending one of Jo’s workshops. ” HS

“The scaravelli yoga workshop was a really good introduction to a new way to approach yoga in relation to the way your own body works. Not so much about the correct pose, but more the position your body works itself into as you let yourself ‘ground’ into the pose. I look forward to the next workshop” CD
